Deep groove ball bearings
6000, 6200 and 6300 series deep groove ball bearings in open, ZZ (metal shield), 2RS (rubber seal) and N (snap ring groove) types.
Deep groove ball bearings are the most widely used bearings in the world. They run quietly at high speed and carry radial load with moderate axial load in both directions, so you will find them in two-wheeler wheels, gearboxes, alternators, water pumps, electric motors and almost every machine.
AMB Bearings supplies the three standard series. The 6000 series is thin and light, the 6200 series is the everyday light series, and the 6300 series is heavier for more load. Most sizes are available as ZZ (metal shields) and 2RS (rubber seals), and many as N (snap ring groove) or open.

ZZ, 2RS, N or open: which one?
- ZZ: metal shields both sides. Low friction, keeps out dust. Good for motors and clean places.
- 2RS: rubber seals both sides. Keeps out water and fine dirt. Best for wheels and outdoor use.
- N: snap ring groove in the outer ring for locating with a circlip, common in gearboxes.
- Open: no shield, lubricated by gearbox oil.

Frequently asked questions
What does 6205 2RS mean?
6 means deep groove ball bearing, 2 is the light series, and 05 means a 25 mm bore (05 x 5). 2RS means rubber seals on both sides. Its size is 25 x 52 x 15 mm.
Which ball bearings are used in bike wheels?
Common two-wheeler wheel sizes include 6301, 6201, 6202, 6203 and 6302, usually in 2RS (sealed) type. The exact size depends on the model, so send us the number on the old bearing.
Can I use a ZZ bearing instead of 2RS?
The size is the same so it will fit, but a ZZ bearing does not seal out water. For wheels and wet places, stay with 2RS.
